BeoSystem 5500 was the first in the line of very successful stacking systems so advanced for their time that they are still highly sought after now. The modular design of of the system gave you complete flexibility on where you placed the different units. Stack them, range them side by side, or disperse them around the room. The systems were available from B&O per unit, allowing the customer to perhaps start with the BeoMaster (radio/amplifer) and grow from there. The BeoGram 5500, 6500 and 7000 turntables where all designed with a tangential arm which played the record exactly as it was recorded. Today the BeoGram 7000 turnable is considered the best turntable ever made by Bang & Olufsen. The BeoSystem 7000 system was the last in the range and boasted some great improvements. It is the only system that be connected to any Active OR Passive Speakers.
